Job Purpose
The Western Cape Provincial Sport Confederation is seeking to employ a suitably qualified individual to promote, coordinate and implement Sport and Recreation Programmes within the Western Cape Province.
Salary / Stipend: R12 338.90 per month

Minimum Requirements
- A Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
- A minimum of 5 years’ appropriate operational experience relevant to the Key Performance Areas.
- A valid Code B driver’s licence.
Key Performance Areas
- Coordinate the implementation of Recreation Programmes.
- Coordinate the implementation of Recreation Development initiatives.
- Coordinate district activities and allocated resources.
- Promote and support next-level participation.
- Promote alignment to club participation.
- Coordinate and ensure compliance.
- Lead, manage and mentor district staff.
- Coordinate and assist with district training and development.
- Collate district data and statistics.
- Perform administrative duties, including HR-related functions and report writing.
- Facilitate, coordinate and implement staff recruitment processes.
- Assist with research and policy development.
- Draft and collate reports.
- Collate and compile incident reports.
- Monitor the performance of coaches against the ratio of 40:1 per coach and per session.
Competencies
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Good understanding of Event Planning, Event Management and Project Management.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
- Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet applications.
- Excellent report writing, presentation, planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to work and perform under pressure.
- Good understanding of recreation-based activities and relevant next-level activities, including sport, arts, culture and educational support programmes.
- Good understanding of next-level participation and Long-Term Player Development.
