Western Cape boxing shapes the future of Strictly Fighters

Western Cape boxing has been a great influence for the sports in the country. Many of its subsets owes much of its thriving success to this Federation. One such entity is Strictly Fighters; a gym in the Helderberg region, offering top-tier training in boxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and wrestling. Led by experienced coaches, the gym has quickly gained recognition with over ten competitive athletes achieving remarkable success.

This year, the gym’s fighters made their mark at the Cape Winelands and Western Cape Provincial Championships, bringing home five medals, including three golds. Two boxers progressed to the South African National Championships, where one proudly earned a bronze medal, highlighting the gym’s dedication to developing elite talent.

The upcoming Strand Showdown on November 30th will showcase exceptional boxing skills as fighters from across the region compete in one of the year’s final events. With South African combat sports excelling, thanks to stars like Dricus Du Plessis and Sivenathi Nontshinga, events like this play a crucial role in shaping the future of the sport.

Be part of the action and witness the next generation of boxing champions with the Western Cape Provincial Sports Confederation!
