The Western Cape is beaming with pride as two of its brightest chess stars, Natasha Joubert and Waylon Brander, represent South Africa at the 2024 African Junior Chess Championships. The prestigious event is being held in Cairo, Egypt, from 17 to 25 November 2024.

Joubert and Brander, both standout players in the Western Cape chess community, are currently competing against top junior players from across the continent, showcasing their skills on an international stage.

This tournament presents a significant opportunity for the duo to bring glory to South Africa, with the hopes of securing top honors and furthering their chess careers.
