For the first time in history, South Africa will host a major international fencing training camp, taking place from Sunday, December 15th, to Thursday, December 19th. This groundbreaking event marks a significant milestone for fencing in the country, bringing together local talent and world-class expertise.

Adding to the excitement, the camp will feature four elite athletes from the Italian national team as sparring partners. Participants will have the incredible opportunity to train alongside Davide Filippi, Tommaso Martini, Davide Di Veroli, and Sara Kowalczyk—renowned athletes who have made their mark on the global fencing stage.

This camp promises to be an extraordinary experience for South African fencers, offering top-tier training, exposure to international techniques, and the chance to engage with some of the best in the sport. It’s a pivotal step toward elevating fencing in South Africa to new heights, which the Western Cape Provincial Sports Confederation is very proud to be a part of!
