Western Cape Gymnastics continues to deliver outstanding results across all its codes, with athletes progressing from provincial trials to national championships and on to international stages in multiple countries. The depth of activity across the province reflects a strong, coordinated system that supports gymnasts from grassroots to high performance.

Provincial trials took place across several regions and venues, showcasing the scale of gymnastics development in the Western Cape. Artistic, Acrobatics and Aerobics were hosted at the Saldanha Multi-Purpose Centre in the West Coast, while Rhythmic Provincials were held at Wynberg Military Base. Parkour athletes competed at Drake’s Academy, and Rope Skipping took place at Zeekoeivlei Primary School in Cape Town. Trampoline Provincials were hosted at the De Jager Indoor Sports Complex in Oudtshoorn, giving the Eden district a key role in the provincial pathway.
From there, top athletes advanced to the national championships, held across South Africa. Artistic, Acrobatics and Gym for All were hosted at the National Training Centre in Gauteng. Trampoline Nationals took place at Nelson Mandela University in the Eastern Cape, while Rhythmic Nationals were staged at the UKZN Westville Campus in KwaZulu-Natal. Across all these events, Western Cape gymnasts were well-represented and continued to show strong development across all disciplines.
The province also celebrated international representation at the highest level. Western Cape athletes competed in Trampoline at the World Championships in Pamplona, Spain, while Woman’s Artistic Gymnastics athletes travelled to Manila, Philippines for the WAG World Championships. These appearances highlight the reach and ambition of the Western Cape programme, with athletes moving confidently through the system and onto world stages.
With multiple codes active, multiple venues engaged, and athletes progressing to national and international competitions, Western Cape Gymnastics continues to demonstrate a broad and successful provincial structure that supports athletes across all disciplines and age groups. The achievements of the season stand as a testament to the hard work of coaches, officials, administrators and gymnasts who keep lifting the standard of the sport in the Western Cape.
