Provincial Athletes now in same uniform

The members of the Western Cape Provincial Sport Confederation recently unanimously moved to accept the principle of uniformed WCPSC Athletes via the confederation.
This move will now see all official Western Cape Athletes uniformed through the confederation.  Federations who have qualified for provincial colours as per the WCPSC colours policy will make application for their teams, individuals and officials as before and then acquire their kit via the confederation.

All kit will be ordered online as per the Federations sizing specifications together with the members unique Provincial Federation identifier. The option would include the traditional kit used by Federations, such as Track Suits, Golf Shirts, Hoodies, T-Shirts and Tog Bags. The confederation will also make available the option for unique performance apparel as used in competition or traveling which is unique to a specific sport code.

WCPSC President JP Naude said “This is an enormous step forward for the unification and identification of officially recognised athletes in the Western Cape. This process will see all our provincial teams compete under the same brand, and will move us quicker towards the provincial awareness status”.

The WCPSC colours policy and new provincial sport logo which was approved in 2015 and has slowly been integrated into the Western Cape Provincial sport codes.

Naude’s vision is to see all athletes in the province strive towards provincial recognition, much in the same way as the national process and the Protea Emblem.
