SALARY: Stipend of R10, 320 – 21 per month (includes 37%)

Job Purpose:

The Western Cape Provincial Sport Confederation (WCPSC), in partnership with the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport (DCAS), is seeking to employ two suitable qualified individuals who will work as an Administrative Support at the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport.

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 or equivalent NQF and a minimum of 2 years’ appropriate operational experience relevant to the KPA’s

Key performance areas

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Render administrative support to head office.
• Provide procurement support, source quotations, invoices, capturing.
• Handling of incoming and outgoing correspondence.
• Render an effective filing and record management service manually and electronically.
• Liaise with the district offices, suppliers, and the Supply Chain Unit.
• Handling of all claims (S&T, telephone…)
• Drafting of specifications

Competencies

Knowledge and experience of the following:

• Ability to interpret and implement policies:
• Supply Chain best practices;
• Good written and verbal communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape;
• Must be comfortable to communicate with internal and external stakeholders;
• Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines;
• Must have excellent report writing skills;
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel;

Furthermore, the successful candidate will be required to:

• Be based at the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport Head Office in the Cape Town CBD area.
• Work a minimum of Forty (40) hours per week.
• Work primarily Mondays to Fridays, as per the requirements of the programme, as well as operational requirements over some weekends by agreement.
• Take responsibility for relevant administration and reports.
• Execute any other relevant operational requirement.
