Yolande Ford continues to shine as one of the top talents in Western Cape darts, representing both the province and South Africa on the national and international stage. As a Protea player and a standout performer in various competitions, Yolande has become a key figure in the sport, inspiring many with her success. 
Her most recent achievements include representing South Africa at the African Championships in Eswatini, where she helped lead the national team to an impressive performance. Competing against top players from across the continent, including teams from Botswana, Zambia, and Lesotho, South Africa dominated the competition, with Yolande playing a crucial role in their success. The women’s team performed exceptionally well in both the open and closed events, reaffirming South Africa’s position as a powerhouse in African darts.
Yolande’s success extends beyond the international arena. At the South African Nationals in Bloemfontein earlier this year, Yolande and her team from the Stocklands Darts Association claimed victory in the first division, finishing as overall champions. She and her youngest daughter, Siobhan, finished as runners-up in the women’s doubles, further cementing her status as one of the country’s top players.
Yolande’s leadership extends to her local efforts, where she plays an active role in promoting darts at the grassroots level. As the women’s representative for Cape Town Darts, she has been instrumental in organizing events specifically aimed at increasing female participation in the sport.
