The Western Cape Provincial Sport Condederation wishes to congratulate Chris Nessling for his appointment as a Steward for the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan, next year.
Chris is a stalwart of our affiliated member the Western Cape Equestrian Federation. We are very proud of Chris and we know he will make us proud on the biggest stage in sport. Chris is an example of what hard work, passion and dedication can achieve and he definitely is a role model for all our athletes and administrators.
We share in the joy of his fellow athletes and administrators at the Western Cape Equestrian Federation. The Olympic Games take place from 24 July until 9 August.
Chris Nessling is the owner of Westland Studs and Stables in the Rondeberg area, close to Durbanville and Table View. He competed in all disciplines, notably Eventing and Show Jumping, both at Open level.
He held a SANEF Instructor’s Qualification since 1989 and is a member of the Jumping Judges’ Panel. Chris also is the Chairman of Western Cape Show Jumping, a member of South Africa Show Jumping Committee, as well as a member of the South African Equestrian Federation.
He serves on the Western Cape Provincial Forum and was the team manager of the winning Western Province Jumping Team at the 2012 SA Interprovincial Team Championship.
