POST: Office Administration Support Clerk – (Contract post until 31 March 2029)

DURATION: 1 April 2026 – 31 March 2029 (3yr contract)
SALARY: Stipend of R10 320.00 per month (includes 37%)

Job Purpose:
The Western Cape Provincial Sport Confederation (WCPSC), in partnership with the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport (DCAS), is seeking to employ suitably qualified individuals who will work as Office Administration Support staff at the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF
- Minimum of 1 years appropriate operational experience relevant to the KPA’s
Key performance areas
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Assist colleagues with administrative tasks and support overall office workflow.
- Coordinate day‑to‑day office activities and operations to ensure efficiency
- Assist with procurement support, submitting office claims, requisitions, and basic administrative financial processes
- Create, organize, and maintain both digital and physical records.
- Ensure accurate and up‑to‑date data entry in company systems and databases.
- Receive, record, sort, and distribute all incoming and outgoing correspondence (emails, letters, submissions, internal memos.)
- Assist with minutes for meetings.
Competencies
Knowledge and experience of the following:
Knowledge of the following: Relevant legislation, policies, prescripts and procedures; Financial administration; Information systems (LOGIS); Reporting procedures. Skills needed: Written and verbal communication skills; Proven computer literacy; Organisational; Analytical thinking; Planning and organising; Interpreting regulations, Interpersonal relations.
Furthermore, the successful candidate will be required to:
- Be based at the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport Head Office in the Cape Town CBD area.
- Work a minimum of Forty (40) hours per week.
- Work primarily Mondays to Fridays, as per the requirements of the programme, as well as operational requirements over some weekends by agreement.
- Take responsibility for relevant administration and reports.
- Execute any other relevant operational requirement.
